The StudiVZ is a German website for college students, where everyone
can publish his name, personal favours, music and private dates.
Thereby, more than 30 Million pictures have been published by the 2
million users of the website. In his work Annabelle, Michael Guelzow
has created a virtual replica of a real person’s apartment, based on the
person’s account on StudiVZ.

RUN, CLIMBING, SECOND WOMAN
My video work is designed, rhythmically dismantling of a sensorial,
poetically represented condition, which can exist only by evenly this
dismantling in its form. I work with apparently logical codings, which
remind of mathematical settings and remain themselves analyzing
functions in the representation.

The handling of an object becomes similar to the act on the high wire.
While winding one's way through this object, the physical meets the
fragility of the construction itself.

Similar to the act of conditioning one goes through the same routine
like in a defined and memorized programme. This collective automatism
expresses itself in an amateurish performance coupled with a
seemingly semiprofessionalism.

emotions of every day life. They always deal with abeyance. I am interested
in how to show the sensation of self-awareness, concentration
and calmness in combination with identification and mistake, appearance
