“Outplaced” is to be realised for the first time in connection with Machine-RAUM The Biennale for Video Art
and Digital Culture, and must be seen as a democratic communicative work with the vision of increasing the
Biennales geographical, professional, artistic and social horizon.
To specifically chosen art, cultural and educational institutions in Denmark and Germany, and screens in Vejle
urban space and in the region of Vejle, a range of programs containing documentation of the exhibition at Vejle
Museum of Art and the Spinning Halls will be mediated in a closed circuit, containg excerpts from lectures,
artist presentations, documentations of performative pieces, artist interviews and extracts of video works.
The intention of the work is to communicate and distribute material, containing democratic potential in it’s
structure and construction.
It seeks to involve areas not usually covered comprehensively by other media and
make small or decentralised circumstances or events in marginalised areas visible. It shows an alternative
structure in relation to communicative partners and network agreement.
The works aims to emphasize the potential of the digital development in connection with problems of visualisation
in decentralised positions and in marginalised areas. |
