Bodies in Urban Spaces
18 dancers moving through Vejle and BRYGGEN
The 14th October 2011 at 13:30 and 17:00.

"Bodies in urban spaces", by the Austrian choreographer Willi
Dorner, has been reached through cooperation between BRYGGEN
and Machine-RAUM, a festival of video art and digital culture.

18 dancers and parkours make a moving track through the Vejle city, where they in site specific urban spaces arrange themselves in  sculptural poses and aggregates. The performance leads the audience through both public and smaller unofficial spaces in the city and BRYGGEN. The performance intervenes and comments urban spaces and architecture, but the performance also points to the rules and restrictions on movement and instructions of behavior in the urban structure. This provokes a thought process
and the challenges the audience to think about their own behavior
and their own habits and may experience the city in a whole new way.

Each performance lasts approx. an hour and all are invited to follow the performance group around the city and in BRYGGEN.

The Performance is recorded in video, and the edited video version
will be shown in BRYGGEN having a premiere the 2012.
